One of the best road in the area. The road is great don't miss it. You can ride it the other way around to head to the grossglockner. Bikers point to check the waterfalls...you will love it.
Thanks Best biking roads for one of the best roads I have ever ridden! The Toll road section costs 4 Euros and was a bit of a surprise but the roads are exceptionally good and most enjoyable. The Gerlos pass is something to behold and ride. The zig-zagging bends (riding from Zell-am-Ziller to Zell-am See) were really cool. Definately used both edges of my tyres on this section!
The first part of the run along the main B168 to Mittersill is quite good and wide, once on the B165 heading towards the Gerlos Pass and the toll road section it gets much more interesting. The climb after the tollbooths has hairpins whatever you like and a view of the Krimml Waterfall. On the other side the run down to Zell am Ziller is less frantic but still very scenic.
