If you start in Huedin, you'll climb from around 550m altitude up to 1200m near Poiana Horea and back to 900m at the end in Albac. During this climb you'll be mostly sorounded by evergreen forests but there are some beautifull views. The road surface is mixed: - from Huedin to Poiana Horea are many bumpy sections but also some very good ones - from Poiana Horea to Horea the road surface is overall good, but you need to pay attention to some potholes and and 2 or 3 corners with gravel - from Horea to Albac the road surface is very poor and on some sections the asphalt is almost destroid. Overall you can go on this road with almost every kind of motorcycle, except sporty ones.
