35 south offers some beautiful scenery rolling farmlands and some sweeping curves with some sharp s turns thrown in to keep you alert. About 35 miles up the valley, there is an interesting road phenomena. The road sweeps left and down hill out of sight. There is a private drive with a school bus parked in it. The drive goes straight at the start of the curve thus making the bus appear stopped in the middle of the road. Don't be fooled. If you need gas, at Shade gap intersection of 35 and 641 there is gas to the right on 522. 1/4 mile. 641 is nothing but pure Appalachian mountain fun with top of the mountain views. Take 75 back up the Tuscarora valley. Few surprise turns but a couple. Even fewer police till you get back to Port Royal. Open her up.
