Start the trip at Travisio, just short of the Ital Austria border in North East Italy. Head towards Predil Pass. The road runs you past Lago Predil and then up and over into Slovenia. The ride down from here to Nova Gorizia is a must do - lots of mountains, twisties and beautiful sections. The road is great and Slovenia is very reasonable for food and fuel. Finish your ride with a sundowner in Trieste. We rode this route in October this year on my Moto Morini Granpasso 1200.
