A nice way to get from US 12, Backwood over to near Mt Rainier National Park. Can be part of a nice loop which includes the Paradise Road. Road is quite bumpy with frost heaves and pot holes so take it easy. Might be some gravel on corners too. Lots of places to stop and camp if interested. Can be crowded on weekends. Nice ride along a creek and through deep woods. The road is all paved from Packwood to Ashford. If you have a GS bike there are lots of gravel side roads for exploring.
