good road for a blast along with plenty of sweeping corners and not many surprises only problem is that its very popular with the coppers so be warned
This is a good blasting road, with one or two things to look out for.Leaving Malton pick up the B1248 Beverley road, once out of town you can pick up the pace with few surprises except one, when you see a sign for humpback bridge, slow down,as immediately after the bridge there is a tight right hander, the first time I rode this six of us had to use someones driveway as an emergency runoff lane. This brings us to the charmingly named North Grimston, and it certainly is.Back on the case and the road opens up after a short section of twists through the trees, now you can press on a bit,a couple of farm entrances to watch for,but they are easy to see. When you get to the roundabout,go straight over, but be aware that hidden in the trees is a picnic area with a tea shop, this is a very popular stop for bikes,if you dont fancy this ,a mile or so up the road is the curiously named Wetwang, look for the chip shop next to the Black Swan pub, proper grub!
